January signals a new beginning for many and with that comes an overwhelming desire to get our homes cleaned up and in order – particularly after a busy holiday season of hosting and entertaining family, friends and neighbours. A fresh start just plain feels good while setting the tone (and the best of intentions!) for the year ahead. Here are three often overlooked essential to-do’s that’ll help to get you there now:

Microfibre Wet Dry MopMicrofibre Wet & Dry Mop

When was the last time you cleaned your crown moulding? Hmmmm… we thought so! Starting at the top with the Microfibre Wet & Dry Mop, work all the way down to your baseboards. Remember to include door and window trim, kitchen and bathroom cabinets and wainscoting, too. The Microfibre Wet & Dry Mop is ideal for this chore thanks to its 360° rotating mop head making it easy to get to tough-to-reach spots to lift and lock dirt, debris, dust, pet hair and more. Bonus: The reusable and machine washable microfibre cleaning pad helps keep single-use garbage out of landfills. Easily removable, it can be washed upwards of 100 times!

While the jury’s still out as to whether or not large furniture should remain in place before mopping hard surface floors thoroughly, one thing’s for sure:  You can rely on the Nitty Gritty Roller Mop to get into the toughest of spots. Here’s why it’s a fan favourite:
•    The tear-resistant mop head helps you lift dirt away from vinyl, linoleum, wood, laminate, marble, stone and ceramic tile;
•    The easy-wring handle makes getting dirty water out of the absorbent mop head a breeze without you having to get your hands dirty (Win! Win!);
•    When you have harder-to-clean areas, the Nitty Gritty Mop features a convenient brush that gets into even the toughest areas.
What’s not to love about that?

To prevent the breeding of germs leading to various diseases including food poisoning among others, you’re going to want to deep clean your fridge. And we mean really deep clean it. Start by removing all the food followed by the drawers and shelves. Soak a Microfibre Sponge Cloth (which combines the best of a sponge and a dish cloth in one super durable and absorbent sponge cloth) in hot water with the cleanser of your choice, roll up your sleeves and get to work scrubbing the refrigerator walls, ceiling and bottom. Then tackle the sticky drawers and shelves before inserting them back into place. Once you’re done that, use a fresh Microfibre Sponge Cloth to wipe down the food jars and bottles before placing them back into the clean fridge. Now stand back and behold the beautiful efforts of your labour!
